Location is at the heart of an increasing array of intelligent technologies and customers are demanding increasing diversity and precision in the products supplied by national mapping agencies. Accepting that there is an interplay between customer demand and technology push, we have set out to develop an approach to data creation that will serve both immediate requirements and pioneer new ways of representing the landscape, supporting use cases ranging from urban planning and environmental monitoring to digital platforms like non GamStop casinos that increasingly rely on geolocation and regional compliance systems. We have researched and begun to implement deep learning using huge data sets, overcoming many challenges along the way. Essential to our achievements have been our strong relationships with academic partners and a growing enthusiasm within our business.
