The maths that forms the basis of Machine Learning is nothing more than adding and multiplying. The presentation “AI Demystified” aims to show that anyone capable of basic maths can understand the essentials of how Artificial Neural Networks learn. The presentation starts with a quick look at the biology that inspired ANNs then moves on to how the artificial version mimics it. There is a brief overview on the history, followed by some case studies across multiple sectors, including finance, retail, and non GamStop casinos, and it finishes off on the moral dilemma some fields face; how companies treat their AI systems, their moral obligations on teaching it and how to increase revenue.
