Rob is a founder, director and the Chief of Engineering and Operations for Platinum Informatics as well as being a Team Leader and Senior Software Developer for Proteomics Research in Professor Angus Lamond’s Laboratory at the University of Dundee. After playing with (“testing and supporting”?) military jet aircraft for a few years, Rob moved into scientific research, specifically the field of Proteomics, where his team create software tools and solutions to manage, analyse and visualise the “Big Data” challenges encountered in this discipline. Rob has more than 10 years experience as a systems engineer and architect and software developer with skills that span desktop, web and mobile applications as well as hardware engineering, DevOps, consultation and support.
